FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Individuals and families affected by the 2025 LA wildfires are eligible to shop.

  • Please bring a Driver’s License or other Photo ID displaying your name and affected address to your appointment.

  • Street Parking is available (please read signs).

    The event is also being held on a Sunday so look out for free parking at certain meters.

  • Stack the Shelves is all about helping families affected by the LA wildfires rebuild their home libraries. At our pop-up shop, you can “shop” for free books and more, giving your shelves a fresh start.

    Enjoy a day of fun with family-friendly activities (including a kids’ corner with games and crafts), food, beverages, sweet treats, and other surprises throughout the day—all while connecting with the community and celebrating the power of books to bring comfort and renewal.

    Thanks to the generosity of our community, we have an incredible selection of donations to make this day a truly special experience.

  • There isn't a limit, but we are hoping to provide books to as many individuals and families as possible.

    You will be provided with more information at check-in.

  • There are books available for adults, teens and kids

  • Where do we begin?

    We are looking for volunteers, brand partnerships, author/publisher book donations and signings.

    You can also donate - 100% of funds raised will be used towards this event to help those impacted by the LA Wildfires.
